about me
hello! i'm andre, an electrical engineering student at the university of california, riverside. i have a lot of experience in pcb design, and i love what i do!
i recently interned at planet labs, where i designed and tested compute hardware for earth imaging satellites, using space to help life on earth. having the opportunity to learn about the space industry from a talented team of engineers while applying my skills to a project that has a real-world impact was an incredible experience.
at ucr, i've been involved in several projects, including highlander space program [far-out], aviat'r [auvsi-suas], and highlander racing [fsae]. i do everything from system design to pcb layout to coding, working cross-functionally.
i also had the opportunity to intern at the california air resources board, where i researched and analyzed large datasets of vehicle emissions to help inform policy decisions related to air quality and public health.

outside of engineering
in my free time, i play jazz piano! you can often catch me jamming with friends or playing with ucr's jazz ensemble.
also, i've recently been getting into rock climbing and running—i can flash most v4s, run a 5:20 mile, and a half marathon in 1:39:59!
in general, i love being active ~ i'll do anything with friends! during my time at planet labs, some of us engineers would go out to play soccer after work, which was surprisingly competitive! and of course, as any good californian, i love hiking and biking.
i'm a sucker for spending time with friends; i'll put my life on hold for a good time. after all, memories (and trains!) are what make life worth living.
